Our mission

“Equipping students to achieve academic excellence and spiritual maturity through a Christ-centered education”

Why this mission?

—  At RCA, we believe that a quality education can only be provided if academic  information is presented from a biblical perspective.

—  At RCA, we believe that spiritually mature students will impact the world for Christ.

—  At RCA, we believe that a Christ-centered school will assist parents in educating their children while not usurping a parent’s responsibility for their child’s education, behavior and spiritual growth.

How do we accomplish this mission?

—  By providing appropriate academic rigor

—  Through the integration of biblical truths and worldview in all areas of study

—  Through the inclusion of parents in the academic, spiritual and disciplinary processes

Academic strategies

—  Providing qualified Christian teachers who assist in selecting effective curriculum

—  The establishment of an underlying reading and comprehension requirement

—  Making regular curriculum, instructional and program adjustments based on results

Spiritual strategies

—  The establishment of a God-honoring learning environment on campus

—  Daily devotions with students

—  The provision of a weekly chapel time for different age groups

—  Biblical integration in all subjects in the classroom

—  Weekly assembly

—  Spanish instruction for all grades to prepare students to communicate with the fastest growing segment of our culture

How RCA is fulfilling its mission

—  Academically – RCA student test results are better than students in 6 out of every 10 private schools across the county.  Generally, our students are at least a grade ahead of most of their peers.

—  Spiritually – We have been encouraged to see students develop a biblical worldview where the secular and sacred are not differentiated from each other and all is viewed in light of God’s Word.

—  Parental involvement – Parents have not only been involved in student’s educational development, but they have also assisted with construction, events, programs and the development of the RCA Booster Club.

Plans for the future

—  Increased technology use.  Beginning this fall, all 5th grade and up will be required to have their own wireless capable netbook or laptop computer

—  Providing high school classes that will lead to a high school diploma and making them available to home school students on a class by class basis (starting a pilot program this fall)

—  Providing academic and athletic competition opportunities

—  Providing an extra-curricular band opportunity

—  The development of our own campus
