RCA volleyball Lady Warriors use SCAA league and tournament championships as a springboard to a national championship

The RCA volleyball Lady Warriors came into the 2019-20 school year with high hopes and a great work ethic.  The team was comprised of a mixture of upper classmen and jr high students.  While the Lady Warriors struggled at times due to their inexperience, they were able to put together a good enough season record to win the Southern Christian Athletic Associations regular season championship.

As a result of winning the SCAA regular season, the Lady Warriors entered the league tournament as the #1 seed.  After defeating the #4 seed Cleveland Christian Lady Crusaders in three sets, the Lady Warriors faced off with the Lady Lions of Mt View Christian Academy for in the championship game.  During the regular season, the two teams had split their two meetings but in the championship match the Lady Warriors came out victorious.

The following week, the Lady Warriors were in action again in the National Association of Christian Athletes national tournament held at Ft. Bluff Camp in Dayton, TN.  After completing the seeding round of games on the first two days, the Lady Warriors entered the single elimination tournament as the #2 seed and ran off consecutive wins over the Columbus Lady Hawks (IN) and the Forest Lake Academy Lady Panthers (FL) to gain a berth in the national championship game versus the Oak Level Baptist Academy Lady Crusaders (NC).  The Lady Warriors were up to the challenge in the championship game and swept the Lady Crusaders to take the national championship in straight sets.

  • RCA brings to my mind thoughts of grace, love and family. My family has been blessed to meet and know other families that attended before our kids enrolled. By His grace, we learned of the school and the wonderful environment it was. The love that is poured out for the kids, and by the kids, is amazing. Being a part of RCA is truly like being a part of a family. I feel that my child is treated not just as a student, but a part of a family, part of the Body of Christ. Knowing the love, care and instruction that he receives is a true blessing. — RCA Parent Read more
